ABOUT ALISON LOHMAN
Munn was born in Columbia, South Carolina to Russell and Nadine Munn. Her mother, an elementary school teacher, encouraged her daughter in the arts by letting her take dance and singing lessons at an early age.
Munn graduated from AC Flora High School and The College of Charleston. From there, she moved to New York, where she won a role in the Off-Broadway classic, The Fantasticks.
Munn's further auditions led to small roles in Hollywood productions; most notably in White Oleander alongside Michelle Pfeiffer and in Elizabethtown, directed by Cameron Crowe.
Her biggest break came in 2002 when she got a co-starring role, opposite Amanda Bynes and Jennie Garth, on the sitcom What I Like About You.
Munn will play a role in the upcoming (September 2007) ABC comedy series Carpoolers.
Munn is single and lives in Los Angeles with her pet terrier, Buster Keaton. In December 2006, she became engaged to actor Scott Holroyd.
She lends her name and support to the non-profit political organization, Rock the Vote, where she is actively involved in encouraging young people to register to vote.
